New Manhattan Bridge
Some of the most iconic pictures of bridges around the world have always been associated with Washington Street in Brooklyn. The Manhattan Bridge has been pictured from this perspective so many times that the DUMBO area in Brooklyn is now one of the most recognisable in the world.
At TEXEL, in an effort to improve our skillset and experiment with Quixel Mixer, we imagined what this iconic image would look if a new contemporary and controversial bridge would replace the Manhattan Bridge.
In the morning after the storm, NY wakes up in a wonderful pink dawn. The bridge is lid by the first weak rays of the sun and so are the surrounding buildings. At this time of the morning, the only people walking the streets are early runners, dog walkers or a casual delivery guy who takes a moment to enjoy the look of the new bridge.
