This project was made for a client in 2018 August. Infogroup asked me to create a VR walk experience, they told me they will hold an event, where they want to showcase the unbuilt building with the difference levels and the enviroment around it. And also in the future they will want to us this VR walk experience for marketing meetings. As we talk about the possibilities they chose the simpliest VR soultion: 360 degree photos. This way, in the event they gifted 600 VR glass with a QR code to thier costumers. Everybody loved it and Infogroup told me they sold all the offices in record time.
For making the 360 photos first my college Márton András Lukáts and I went to the building site and we capture the different location and level panoramas with a drone. Then i built the whole building in Unreal, bake the lights, then i captured the 360 degree pictures with Nvidia Ansel. We uploaded the pictures to roundme.com where i put together the walking. We choose roundme becouse it also works on phones with Cardboard like VR glasses and also works on the internet with a single view so it could be sent by an email.
The whole project was made around 2 month and at the and i delivered 39 photo with 8192x4096 resolution witch couldn't be possible without Unreal Engine and Nvidia Ansel.
