Winning competition entry of Herzog & de Meuron for Universitätsspital Basel, Perimeter B - Switzerland. Published, winner announced in May 2019. The view shows the new complex in late afternoon light from the existing building, revealing its delicate, well balanced shapes and connections in a clear way. We used soft lights, bright ambiance and grading to achieve a pleasing, calm overall appearance - tried to resist applying much of the typical evening glows and bold expressions, keeping it rather simple.
