The Harbin Opera House film began as a commissioned piece. Originally the project was created to test and promote V-ray for Form-Z as a still image. This iconic design allowed us to showoff some of the modeling tools capable with the software. However, this eventually grew to a time based piece, we created internally, to push the limits on Chaos Groups cloud rendering service. While the purpose was very technical in nature, it was important to create something that was inspiring and remains at the core of what we do visually.
