Whilst visiting Amsterdam I came across this street. I really liked the vivid colours of the cafes and ivy that stand out from the usual brickwork. I also found the time of day interesting as it didn't quite make it down to the ground.

I thought this scene would be nice to re-create in 3D and set about modelling the buildings and street. I used Corona for the renderer and spent time creating the materials as close as possible. Finally, I used Guruware's Ivy Generator and tweaked the controls until I got a similar result to reality.
