I was inspired by the Container House created and built by the architect: Patrick Bradley in Ireland.
Notes
I am an interior designer by trade and interested in sustainable living, especially when it comes to using recycled materials and living in small spaces.
Having lived in Japan for one year (which had a big influence on me), I am also fascinated by the art of "Wabi-Sabi".... which roughly translates... as an appreciation of things imperfect, impermanent and incomplete.
It is the beauty of things unrefined and unconventional. Seeing beauty in imperfection.
This is what I tried to achieve with the Container House, with weathered materials, the effects of light between sunset and subtle interior lighting. Which I found hard to get the balance right.
I also wanted to contrast between cold shadows and warm light. to try and convey an April shower.
