Notes
As a new startup we figured we should pick a local architectural icon to catch the attention of potential clients. The National Gallery of Victoria (1959) by Architect Roy Grounds is for most children of Melbourne an early introduction to architecture and art. Some elements including the Monolithic Wall (with it's weight and stability) and the Water Wall (which is tactile and impermanent) create an impression in a young mind that is palatable. For these reasons we chose to spend our precious personal time recreating it. The process has proved valuable. I'm sure having studied the building we know something of Ground's mind. Hopefully you enjoy it as we enjoyed working on it!
