Interactive visualization of the proposed re-development of Nguyen Hue Boulevard in downtown Ho Chi Minh City.
This extensive solution, created in CryEngine, was developed to aid the Ho Chi Minh City Urban Planning Committee in their decision making process for the pedestrianization of Ho Chi Minh city's main downtown boulevard. The solution is fully interactive and runs on desktop and touchscreen kiosks.
Features include the ability to:
- Navigate in first person walk and run modes, flycam mode, top-down mode and driving mode (scene is viewed from the perspective of a car interior).
- Switch between multiple shortlisted designs of street furniture items including street lamps, benches, flower beds, bus shelters and more.
- Interactively change the time of day from anywhere between dawn and midnight.
- Choose between various options of tree types and planting patterns and simulate their growth from 5 years up to 100 years.
- Preview simulations of multiple water fountain patterns for two types of embedded fountains including custom lighting for evening shows.
- Quickly measure distances within the project using a set of interactive measuring tools.
- Click on various tile and ground material types to find the total area usage for each material
- Browse an inventory system to see total amount of each item required depending on design choices made. The inventory can be exported as an excel file for easy comparison.
