From the office we have a view in the upper room of the house. The upper room is situated in the oldest part of the house, above the cellar. Before the 1536, the cellar belonged to another house that burnt down during the big city fire of the same year. In 1544, on its place a warehouse was built, which was part of the property of the sheriff of Delft, Vranck Bertelmeesz. van Diemen. Around 1578 the warehouse was rebuilt into a canal house by his son Hendrick.
