Project Atelier was at once my first venture into visualization as well as my first real project using the V-ray renderer. What was at first intended to be a render of a desk with art supplies quickly expanded into the entire room.

My goal was to capture a room that looks "lived in", as if the artist is in the middle of a project and left the room to put the kettle on. By adding lots of small details around the room I filled out the flat surfaces while learning a lot about how the V-ray renderer reacts to materials and lights.
