Title: "Flower" 2013
2013 is the centenary of Canberra’s birth as the Australian Capital. One of FloodSlicer’s directors, Daniel Flood, was asked ruminate on his experiences of being a Canberra born artist/architect. The result was an exploration of his first memories growing in the outlying suburbs to his nascent career rendering the National Gallery of Australia. The contrast of the standard modern 3d moving representation of Canberra is then challenged by the axial representations of Marion Mahoney Griffin.
