The Gorillaz are a big inspiration since my first listen to their second album "Demon Days"
"El Mañana" 's clip is still for me a very good work, mixing music/art and animation.
The Idea was to have an "Old movie" aspect, mixed with paper-like animation.
Black-and-white colors with 3ds-max really help me on this.
I wanted to make it look as an old place, keeping my references on the video-clip, at first-sight simple but yet detailled.
The Helicopters are Ka-50 Black Sharks, I wanted to put a real violence is this childish composition, contrasting with the island, using the sun to reinforce their obscur aspect.
