Nostalgia - Indelible memories.
In the quiet dimness of Grandma’s bedroom, time seemed to have stopped.
The warm afternoon light filtered through the thin curtains, casting gentle shadows on the dark wooden furniture.
It was a silent room, but not an empty one - It still held the echo of two lives intertwined, Grandma’s and Grandad’s, their memory lingering in the small objects, in the scent of Marseille soap.
In her final years, that room became the gentle refuge of her solitude.
Everything spoke of her: the modest yet dignified bedspread, the faded photographs framed on the wall, the plants and the window where she would spend hours quietly watching people pass by.
Life in that room moved slowly, almost in a suspended time, as if every gesture, every breath, was part of some old and necessary ritual.
Returning there, even just in thought, feels like opening a door that the time never truly closed. The room is still there - untouched, faithful.
And this time, quite unexpectedly, her eyeglasses - usually "impossible" to find - are resting on the bedside table. Neatly placed. Waiting. As if they knew you would come back. And in that moment, just for an instant that feels eternal, it is as if she is still there...
