Nostalgia - Indelible memories.

Some memories, be they of special moments or people we hold dear, are so vivid they are imprinted on our minds like indelible images, cherished deep within us.

Memories that carry the scent of Grandma, who had just picked fresh fruit from her own patch of land for her grandchildren: oranges, lemons, mandarins.

Memories of suspended moments when you, Grandma, were looking out from your window at your neighbourhood friends, the so-called "commare", sitting outside on their little chairs, just like the one you had under your window.

Certain bits and bobs in your home stayed with you throughout your life and, even now, they still speak of you: the pictures of food on the wall, the old mortar and pestle, your eyeglasses.

These are vivid images, imprinted on the heart, because no one is truly lost as long as their memory is kept alive.
