"Berdiri di atas emas,Berjalan tanpa alas". (Standing on gold, walking barefoot).
We're incredibly proud to visualize the uniqueness of one of the cultural cultures deep in Papua, Indonesia, specifically the Korowai tribe. You can see one of its architectural marvels in this visualization.
The Korowai tribe builds their homes in tall trees, reportedly to protect themselves from demonic attacks. They believe these demons resemble undead corpses that roam at night, seeking out their families. Beyond this spiritual belief, the treehouses also safeguard the Korowai from insects and wild animals. Additionally, the elevated homes provide a sense of security, making them feel safer from enemy attacks.
The Korowai tribe's treehouses are a remarkable example of human adaptation to a harsh and unique environment, showcasing the rich cultural heritage of Papua's indigenous tribes.
