This design was conceived for the Kaira Looro competition, which called for the creation of a school in Senegal that would serve as a hub for fostering creativity, stimulating imagination, and enhancing social skills among children.
As a 3D artist, my workflow began with creating the building's model in Rhino and Archicad. These tools allowed for precise control over the architectural details, ensuring that the design would meet the functional and aesthetic needs of the competition brief. For rendering, we chose Twinmotion, a decision driven by its powerful real-time capabilities and advanced path tracing features. Twinmotion proved invaluable in producing highly realistic renders within a tight timeframe. The integration of Megascans and Twinmotion's extensive library further enriched the scene, allowing for detailed, high-quality visualizations with efficient asset management.
Once the initial renders were complete, the project moved into post-processing, where advanced techniques in Photoshop were employed to fine-tune the visuals. Color grading played a crucial role in setting the right mood and enhancing the overall impact of the imagery. Leveraging AI in image editing, we carried out meticulous retouching to refine the landscape and textures, ensuring that every element of the visualization was polished to perfection.
Although this design did not win the competition, it garnered significant attention for its compelling and immersive visualizations. The project showcased not only the architectural vision but also the power of modern 3D tools and techniques in bringing that vision to life.
