Notes
This short-film was aimed to convey the building's liveliness and highlight its distinctive three-story circular void, which fosters visual, auditory, and atmospheric connections between levels. This central space challenges traditional notions of privacy, creating a shared experience that influences light, air, and sound.
Recognizing the potential for captivating lighting conditions within the central void, we wanted to explore more of this possibility. These moments are captured through a combination of stillness with a slow-paced movement of the light throughout the space, uncovering every corner.
In this short film, we explore the transformation of a house into a home.
As the initial steps of homemaking unfold, our attention is drawn to the transitional phase that exists between the notions of "house" and "home."
These deliberate actions of arranging and personalizing the space represent a deeply intimate conversation between the inhabitants and the architecture.
The video captures this moment, freezing time around this somewhat awkward period of occupation, when individuals adapt and make the space their own until it feels just right.
