Notes
This image aims to delve into the realm of indeterminacy that often characterizes the architectural process, which is full of unexpected experiences. While many envision architecture against a backdrop of a clear blue sky and blooming flowers, the reality is often more mundane.
The chaotic construction site, with its dirt, noise, and unfinished state, offers a more authentic glimpse into the architectural process.
The sparse interior decor in these images further emphasizes the temporary and unfinished nature of the space. These elements collectively represent the limbo between the excitement of moving into a new house and the slow pace of construction completion.
The analog photography aesthetic serves as a fitting medium for capturing this imperfect state. Its grainy, noisy aesthetic, mirrors the imperfections and uncertainties inherent in the construction process. This nostalgic appeal evokes a sense of time and place, reminding us of the ephemeral nature of the construction phase.
Inspired by the works of Rory Gardiner and Jeff Wall, we sought to find beauty and poetry in the mundane aspects of everyday life.
