The word "Azulk'an" is made up of two terms: "azul", which is a word in Spanish and in the project refers to water, and "k'an", which in Mayan means golden or yellow. Combined, these words evoke the color green, a symbol of the nature that surrounds the project. This contemporary bathroom uniquely fuses the rich cultural heritage of the Mayans with the mystique of the City of Dorado, creating a space of luxury and serenity amidst a lush tropical setting. Located in a jungle-like region that once housed the Mayans, the bathroom design seeks to capture the essence of this ancient civilization while incorporating modern, gold elements that evoke the legendary golden city.
