Urban Commödities

The image is from our thesis, Urban Commödities, aims to construct an urbanism that creates a cinematic fantasy of Hong Kong and Taipei. It represents people’s desire to escape from reality by experiencing fantastical, almost hallucinatory, architectural experiences through the lens of nostalgic local films. By designing a network of urban acupuncture, it will instigate a cycle of cinematic impact for spatial transformation. The collective memories and nostalgia will repackage and rebrand these two cities in a reimagined panorama.
