(dis)ordinary
To begin with, in order to get a better idea of what I wanted to represent, I started to explore the house. At first glance, the space is perceived by the material that wraps the whole house, inside out, creating a very clean and kind of cold place.
In order to embrace and deepen the concept, I started to think about the people that might live in the place, and I imagined a young and ordinary family with a child that never tidies their room and leaves their toys around the house. The parents really love music, movies and books: one is a journalist and writes for a rising publishing house, the other works in the entertainment field and is rarely home. They both are very interested in art and architecture therefore in their house there is always room for magazines.
After their busy days, they both like to spend time watching movies, reading and, most of all, sitting on the couch relaxing, while their child is playing on the rug. Sometimes they even play games all together, they always end up losing track of time: the scene takes place the morning after one of those days.
