Notes
A really enjoyable visual, I've been a 3D Archviz Artist for 15+ years and have never committed to any competitions so would be really interested in how you find this submission.

Sources of Inspiration and References
I was inspired to create a visual of the Hoke House designed by Skylab Architecture. The house is a stunning mix of bold shapes, a large cantilevered deck and set in beautiful surroundings.
When looking for inspiration on look and feel, I have always really loved night time / late dusk images. I feel you can really orchestrate the mood and interest based on how the lighting plays on a scene with the ability to use the lights to create strong focus and contrast.
When searching for further inspiration for the mood of the image I stumbled across a striking award winning photograph from the World Photography Organisation depicting fireflies through a bamboo forest and felt a strong connection between this and the potential for the scene I was constructing. (https://www.worldphoto.org/blogs/21-12-16/capturing-enchanting-beauty-fireflies-night) It was a combination of these two factors as well as the seasons now changing in the UK to push forward with an atmospheric ethereal visual.
In terms of aspect ratio and my composition choices I wanted to use the late evening mist to hint at a scene just after some light rain. This was to add further interest to the environment from the reflections on the access road leading to the house. Characters were then placed to draw more interest and to harmonise the composition with the viewers eyes being drawn up from the road to the house and leading around the fireflies and back.
