Notes
Growing towards the sky.
Skyscrapers, as symbols of rapid economic development, have proliferated worldwide. However, most current skyscrapers are designed as sealed environments and heavily rely on artificial ventilation. The ongoing challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic and the climate crisis present significant obstacles for skyscraper design. This work aims to maximize natural ventilation in skyscrapers and facilitate the growth of air-purifying plants on their structures, enabling a symbiotic relationship between nature and architecture. By endowing skyscrapers with an immune mechanism against viruses and reducing their overall carbon footprint, new possibilities emerge for addressing the COVID-19 pandemic and the climate crisis.
