Notes
The 16-meter-high DUKKA Tower is an architectural element designed to provide incredible views of the FLUGT Refugee Museum of Denmark and its surroundings.
Located in OKSBØL, a city in southern Denmark that was the largest refugee camp in the country during World War II, the DUKKA Tower complements the museum project developed by BIG (Bjarke Ingels Group).
The museum honors refugees who found shelter in Denmark during World War II. Today the museum occupies spaces that formerly belonged to an old hospital building in the city.
Based on two vertically stacked containers, the DUKKA Tower is supported by a large concrete pillar that supports all the construction elements (stairs, guardrails and handrails).
