Bali as an island that depends on tourism has been greatly affected by the recent pandemic. As one of the 3D studios in Bali, we were called to make this video with independent funds, without any help from any party. The main goal is to introduce the real Bali, different from the videos that have been circulating so far.

The concept of this video is that Bali is a second paradise. The idea is taken from the words that are already very well known, which are “Island of Gods”. As we know so far, since childhood, where the Gods live is always described as a very sacred, majestic, natural place, lots of clouds and fresh, which is also always filled with dances, prayers and offerings, all of which are traditions in Bali.

Balinese religious traditions always perform Yadnya. Prayers and offerings every day using cymbals containing flowers and incense. In people’s daily life, when doing Yadnya, people always wear simple clothes, which shows that to face God, we don't need to look glamorous, but we have to be down to earth. In terms of architecture, there are many temples in Bali and all of them use simple and not luxurious materials. The villa project used is a reflection of the development of Bali, from Pramana Bali Aga Estate & Sanna Ubud A Pramana Experience which brings traditional Balinese designs like Penglipuran Village, then Jeevalokha Ubud Bali which is still traditional but slightly more modern, and Gravity Villa Ubud which is semi-modern. Where we can get all kinds of villa models with architecture made based on the principles of Desa Kala Patra, which is a certain place, at a certain time, and in a certain situation.

The story telling in this video starts with the beginning of the creation of the world by the Gods, which then they fall in love with their own creation so then a second paradise is created, namely in Bali. Then continued with normal life in Bali. After that, several tragedies that occurred in Bali were shown, namely the Bali bombings 1 and 2 which were symbolized by the ground zero monument, then the eruption of Mount Agung, and finally the pandemic. All Balinese people pray that this pandemic will end and life will return to normal and together rise up and not give up and believe that Bali will come back…

Dewi Danu (Goddess of Water) heard all the prayers of the Balinese people, and decided to intervene to improve the situation in Bali. With the presence of Dewi Danu and together with the Balinese people, development in Bali, which had stopped for quiet some time, has started again and tourism has started to run again.

In this video all 3D animations are made not only by 2G Studio, but also assisted by students from 2G Academy who are all mentioned in the credits section. In every publication of this video, all parties will be given credit and links to the website and social media, and with this we want to show that we can share credit with anyone, as a studio, we don't have to look so great and invincible and dominate all the credits. In addition, credit is also given to the music composer, architect, interior designer, including the dancers. By making this video, which is a collaboration of many people, we will prove that fortune will never change as long as our goals are good. The making of this video also helps the balinese dancers financially as we hired them, helping them in the middle of a pandemic.

The most difficult part in making this video was not during the execution, but during the final video shooting. When I lost my father who I always idolized and respected, whereas I also made this video for my father who loves the island and Balinese customs and always comes to Bali, always liked to take videos since he was young.

The last notes from us… Ladies and gentlemen… If you only travel once a year… Please think of Bali next time...
