Notes
Project name: Supine
Meaning: Lying face upwards in peace.
We are standing still in 2021 with what happened in 2019 November 17th. That day marked the first-ever recorded case of Corona virus, the virus that single-handedly took over millions of lives all around the world and left the human race numb and traumatized. To be honest we can still feel the numbness. Numbness in our thoughts and dreams.
They say time heals everything. Today, we are winning the war against Coronavirus but at the cost of our inner peace and tranquillity. With these thoughts in mind, we realized the significance of space and time, the importance of self-healing and introspection. Supine is a meditation hall that characterizes the essence of space, its dynamism and fluidity. The aim of the design and artwork is to demonstrate the role of Architecture (form) in the self-healing process. A place where one can stay still and numb, only to rejuvenate.
“When things change inside you, things change around you.”
