In this image only the main road is a cut out. The rest is entirely 3d, even the snow and rock on the left. I wanted to make the mood more dramatic by inserting the only light in the only invisible access, to increase the sense of mystery.
The texture, applied on a floor generator, was created by me on photoshop, and the size is the same size as the wooden strips.
