‘Machine in itself’ is an architectural project that stands as applicable program which is being applied to the Bangkok Docklands site within a short span of time before gentrification. The core idea of this application is to revitalize the site into landmark and response the community satisfaction using the idea of temporary refitting that the deployment of the movable playground into the site , creating attractions for community.
Within the process of the mechanical living performance playground scenario, the machines have their role to interact with humans as in pair or groups to create temporary community within the living spacious experience. The mechanical process by human also create a performance by deconstructing the waste materials into a reusable materials and are being reconstructed by the people to create architectural elements for themselves and for the creativity of the playground. And later at the end of the time span before gentrification , materials are being dispatch and distribute back for the beneficial for the community, turns out to be components for fabrication. Last but not the least , at the end of short span of time , machines are being packed up back into the ship and further find a shift alternative location for the deployment of this new culture and spread the learning and awareness of reusing the materials obsolescence. Also empowering the community.
