Notes
Company:
KOMMERZ (www.kommerz.at) is a future-oriented company that provides products and services in the field of interactive solutions and visual 3D-media. Our services include system integration, content creation, interaction design and design for a various range of industries, mainly the building and automotive industries.
MRI (mixed reality interface)
The MRI-realtime-3D-system developed by KOMMERZ enables a quick interaction with 3D-contents in the simplest way. So that it is also possible for unpracticed persons or non-users to make real-time 3D-contents accessible and thus involving them actively into the decision process.
The combination of 3D software and the MRI gives the user the ability to navigate digital models, configure and manipulate objects and materials in real-time without the need for expertise in 3D software – the fastest way to design a building and interior together with stakeholders – this saves time and money. In addition it is a relaxing method to work with clients or superiors.
The MRI-realtime-3D-system is a decision making tool and speeds up design reviews and planning processes and makes presentations easy to use and beautiful. The users can quickly understand the impact that their decisions have on space, layout, materials and so on in 3D. Thus non technical people like executives, clients etc. can easily be involved in the decision making process.
Development environment: Unity 3D
Project: “MRI material archive”
The interactive installation “MRI material archive” is designed for the EGGER roadshow moving around in mainly eastern Europe in a truck for the next 5 years. By interacting with the MRI table it is possible to move through and around a private and a public building and explore construction and furniture details on different hotspots.
