Notes
The purpose of this animation is to explore some of the functionality of CryEngine2 as a real-time visualization platform for a current PhD heritage landscape research project. All animated frames in this Serious Game test application were directly captured within the real-time game environment. Functions tested in this animation include:
• Real-time walkthrough with 8 pre-defined camera tracks
• Real-time movement of shrubs and trees
• Real-time shadow movement of palm trees casting onto building facades
• Real-time particles effects of water from 12 lions’ mouths and central fountain
• Real-time ripple effects on the pool of water in central fountain
• Real-time material reflectivity of architectural elements
• Real-time depth-of-field camera effect on ending sequence
Text and music were inserted in post production stage using Adobe After Effects CS4.
